Obituaries - August 25, 2010

"MALLOTT, Chauncey completed his circle of life on Thursday, August 19, 2010 just short of his 91st birthday.

He and his cherished wife Helen (Allison) celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on August 7th, 2010. Chauncey will be missed by his two sons, Glen and wife Lise and Don and wife Dixie. Dearest grandpa of Christopher, Jenn, Vanessa and Katie Malott, 9 step grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Arlene Thorpe and her late husband Manley, the late Farold Malott and his late wife Dorothy, the late Byron Malott and brother in law of Ethel Allison, Tom Allison and his late wife Dorothy, George Allison and wife Eleanor, the late May Allison and Marion Carroll and her late husband Bill.

Chauncey was a past member of the Enterprise Lodge #304, a lifelong member of Cottam United Church and had a passion for the land and farmed his whole life in Northridge. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Iler Lodge for always going above and beyond with their care.

Services to celebrate Chauncey's life were held at the Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 87 Maidstone Avenue East, Essex (519-776-4233) Rev. Kim Gilliland officiated. Interment Cottam United Church Cemetery.

Memorial Donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Cottam United Church would be appreciated.
